She’s got wings! Ariana Grande combated the 27 degree cold for Jingle Ball 2016 in Chicago Wednesday, December 14, in what appeared to be long, furry arm warmers.
The “Side to Side” singer, 23, took the stage in a sparkly Bryan Hearns custom crystal crop top along with a pleated black A-line miniskirt by American Apparel. A Mitchel Primrose choker, a pair of thigh-high Christian Louboutin boots and a white visor to complement her signature high ponytail completed the look. But the most eye-catching accent were her white, shaggy arm warmers that stopped a few inches below her shoulder. They appeared to be held up by an elastic armband.
Grande, who’s dating rapper Mac Miller, seemed to be feeling her outfit as she posted eight Instagram photos of the look. A backstage selfie in the ensemble racked up at least 1.2 million likes from her Arianators. She also wore it while smooching alongside her Hairspray Live costar and Chicago native, Jennifer Hudson.
“my heartttttt @iamjhud,” she wrote. “i love you so much i can't put it into words. thank you for coming to see me tonight !!!! you make me so happy. i love you i love you i love you !”
The singer has proven that she’s a Dangerous Woman when it comes to shaking her look up. In November, she changed her hair color not one, not two, but three times in two days! Celebrity hairstylist Aaron Light switched her honey-blonde hair to a deeper brown, per a November 12 Instagram. A few hours later, Grande shared a selfie in a bright blonde wig, possibly for a music video to promote Sing. And on November 13, she got into her Penny character for Hairspray Live, rocking a light brown piece with a mini beehive topped with a green hair bow.
While Grande’s daring look made a — you guessed it! — bang, we must ask: do you love it or hate it? Vote in the poll below and let Stylish know.
